Who is this course for?

We understand that there are many who would like to learn from Teacher Eric, but proximity is an issue. Hence, after much deliberation, we have decided to launch this, to offer students the limited chance to learn from Teacher Eric.

What are the advantages of this course?

Benefit from the catered small group (limited to 15 persons). The presentations stems from Teacher Eric’s 28 years of experience of working with students and parents, as well as being a parent himself. The course will specifically be taught by Teacher Eric, so there will be no concerns about continuity of learning.

Understand that Teacher Eric is always leaning towards physical learning. So why the venture into online realm?

Teacher Eric, given his vast experience in teaching, comprehends that indeed, online learning can never replace physical learning. However, Teacher Eric also understands that, over the years, parents from all over Singapore have been keen to engage him for academic help. Geographical locations may pose a barrier for some to see him personally. For instance, Teacher Eric is currently seeing two students who are currently based in Japan. Hence, after carefully deliberation, he has decided to leverage on technology to provide the chance for all to learn from him

How can your child benefit from this course?

Parents can expect 100% coverage of the entire syllabus. Students will be afforded time to understand, internalise and ask questions, if any.

Having Teacher Eric at the helm, through his 28 years of teaching, he is fully aware of some of the kinks of learning. As such, he has integrated weaknesses of former students into this course.

Schedule

  1. Mondays, starting from 13 November 2023.
  2. Time: 8-915pm
  3. Level and subject: Secondary 2 Express Maths.
  4. Course fees: $260 / 4 sessions.
  5. Referral program: $13/ student. (New students will need to quote your name in the email. Upon completion of 2 months of lessons for both incumbent and new student.)

Enrolment process

  1. Please drop an email to passioninlearning@gmail.com, with your contact number and your child’s name.
  2. You will receive an email as acknowledgement.
  3. You will be requested to do a paynow. Please do a screenshot upon doing so.
  • Confirmation will be sent on a first-come-first-serve basis, upon transfer of course fees.

* All sessions will require a minimum of 4 students. A full refund will be made if the course is cancelled.

Terms and conditions

  1. All teaching materials in this course are subjected to copyright and strictly limited to use. As a form of respect, please do not circulate beyond this class.
  2. There will be no replacement of lessons and no refund of lessons fees. Should your child be unavailable to attend, your child can contact me should he or she have any doubts, and I will respond as fast as I can on a goodwill basis.
  3. The first 4 sessions will be set as trial. After the trial sessions, should the child decide to proceed, there will be a deposit of 2 sessions’ fees, fully refundable upon prior notification of 2 sessions in advance.
  4. Fees will be collected at the start of each month. For the trial month, which may eat into the subsequent month, the fee for next month will be calculated until the last session of the next month itself.
  5. On a goodwill basis, sessions may commence below the threshold of 4 students.

About the author

Eric is an educator who holds an Honours Degree in Engineering from Nanyang Technological University. He has been actively coaching aspiring learners for the past 27 years. Seeing that tuition is largely transactional, he started PassionInLearning in 2010, which aims to fuse education with parenting. Regularly, Eric will share pointers on how to help students,on his Facebook and WordPress pages. Being a parent, his methods to impart knowledge have largely evolved. Eric certainly believes that parenthood has given him the cutting edge whenever he mentors children, young or adolescent.

Eric has taught students from top schools, to students in NT stream and special needs students. Certainly, he feels that the attitude to learn is more important that the child’s current competency. Indeed, he finds immerse satisfaction bringing about unprecedented improvement in his learners.

Eric believes that education is more than just a financial transaction, and he enjoys the interactions with students.

In his spare time, Eric teaches the less privileged and reads up on parenting to further improve himself as a parent and teacher.
